The Hope of Africa Mission Nkuriza is a faith-driven organization in Burundi committed to agricultural development, women’s empowerment, and social justice for marginalized groups.
Guided by Christian values such as compassion, dignity, and stewardship, the mission not only trains women in sustainable farming but also advocates for the rights of women, orphans, and the Batwa community—historically one of the most marginalized ethnic groups in the region.
Through its agricultural programs, the mission empowers women to become economically independent, helps widows and single mothers gain land access, and provides safe environments and education for orphans. Special attention is also given to the Batwa, promoting inclusion, cultural respect, and equal opportunities in farming, income-generating activities, and community leadership.
The mission combines practical support (such as seeds, livestock, and training) with advocacy and awareness, ensuring that all people—regardless of gender, background, or social status—are treated with love, justice, and dignity. This holistic approach strengthens communities and reflects the Gospel's call to care for “the least of these” (Matthew 25:40).
