Through its sponsorship program, HAM-NKURIZA ensures that children—regardless of ethnicity, gender, or background—can access and complete their education. The organization provides tailored support to Batwa students and others from historically excluded groups, breaking down systemic barriers to opportunity and dignity.

Each sponsorship package includes:

• Secondary school tuition, exam fees, and uniforms

• Textbooks and essential learning materials

• Transportation or boarding support, if needed

• Assistance with basic family needs, such as food, hygiene supplies, and healthcare during times of hardship

This targeted support is especially crucial for marginalized students who often face multiple layers of exclusion—from poverty to social stigma.

HAM-NKURIZA further reinforces its impact by actively participating in the broader Nkuriza Project, a large-scale initiative supported by international and national partners. This collaborative effort expands interventions across several provinces and includes:
